Baklava Cups with Dubai Chocolate Filling

The Ingredients

For the cups:

  • 1/2 pack of filo pastry (Baklava)
  • 50g Bakers Choice (melted)

For the filling:

  • 250g kunafa
  • 50g Bakers Choice
  • Pistachio butter

For the chocolate sauce:

  • 250g semi-sweet chocolate
  • 50g Bakers Choice
  • A pinch of salt

How to prepare

For the Baklava Cups:

  1. On low heat, melt 50g of Bakers Choice to brush between layers of filo pastry.
  2. Cut the filo pastry into medium squares and brush 3 layers.
  3. Place the filo pastry in a muffin tin. To shape them properly, use a small cup and press down until it takes the shape of the tin.
  4. Place the tin in a preheated oven for 5 minutes until the edges turn golden.

For the Filling:

  1. Grind the kunafa finely using a food processor.
  2. Add the kunafa to Bakers Choice on the heat, stirring until it turns golden, then let it cool.
  3. Add 3 tablespoons of pistachio butter and mix well.
  4. Fill the baklava cups with the kunafa filling.

For the Chocolate Layer:

  1. In a double boiler, melt the chocolate, stirring gently.
  2. Add Bakers Choice to the chocolate and mix until well combined.
  3. Spoon a small amount of the chocolate sauce onto each cup.
  4. Let it cool, then decorate as desired.
