The Ingredients
3 red apples, peeled and diced
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 cup nuts
2 cups flour
190gm of Bakers Choice
1 egg yolk
Pinch of salt
30 g sugar
Water according to the capacity of the dough
How to prepare
In a bowl, mix the bakers’ choice, egg yolk, salt, sugar, and flour.
Gradually add the water according to the capacity of the dough until you have a soft, cohesive dough.
Put in the freezer for about an hour.
In a saucepan, put the apples, brown sugar, salt, cinnamon, and chopped walnuts.
Leave a small piece of dough on one side, and spread the rest of the dough into the tart pan.
Put the filling in the pan and extend it until the base is covered.
Stretch out the small part of the dough, cut it lengthwise, and place it on top of the tin.
Preheat the oven to 180°C, and place the tray in it until the dough has browned, for about 15 minutes.
Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
