Apple Cake with Cinnamon and Caramel

The Ingredients

To make caramel apples
  • 3 green apples, peeled and sliced ​​medium thickness
  • 1 cup Baker’s Choice
  • 1 cup dark brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons white sugar
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
To make cake mix
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup liquid bakers’ choice
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 egg
  • 1 3/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • pinch of salt
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans

How to prepare

  1. In a medium saucepan, put the butter, then the apples, and stir for 1-2 minutes.
  2. Add the cinnamon sticks, brown sugar, white sugar and the rest of the ingredients and leave it on a medium heat for 10-7 minutes.
  3. Mix cake ingredients in a mixing bowl, taking care not to over mix to get a fluffy cake.
  4. We grease the cake pan with Bakers Choice and cover it with butter paper on all sides.
  5. Put half of the cake mix in the pan, then put half of the caramelized apples, then the rest of the cake mix, and finally the rest of the caramel apple mixture on top of the cake.
  6. Add 1/4 cup of chopped pecans on top.
  7. Bake in the oven at 180 degrees for 40-30 minutes.
